This painting yearns to depict the space of waiting, the silent "ma" in between 2 acts. Aragon is waiting for his beloved in the ancient grove of Lothlórien. When they first met, Arwen is about 2,710 years old which is about the average age of one of those majestic redwood trees in the US right now. I painted this after visiting those quiet yet thundering presence of a forest. Hopefully this poster will bring you tranquility and a spark of elven love as well.

You may wonder at the weird price number, it is the age of our Earth Buddha if he is still alive. I dedicate the money collected from this painting to a Tibetan monk who accompanied my husband and I to the redwood. May his learning, teaching and presence ever benefits numerous sentient beings.
